Principal Clinician
Dr Keyvan brings a wealth of experience from an extensive career spanning over 17 years in both the private and public sectors. His work has included collaboration with the education sector, children and adolescents’ mental health services, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across South Australia, individuals affected by substance misuse, veterans, and current-serving ADF members, as well as individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds.
As one of the founding members of one of South Australia’s largest alcohol and other drugs community-based rehabilitation services—delivering programs across the Limestone Coast, Riverland, Murray Mallee, and Adelaide—Dr Keyvan has played a pivotal role in expanding access to critical support services in Adelaide and rural and remote communities. He is also an experienced addiction interventionist, working closely with individuals and families to facilitate early, compassionate, and effective responses to substance misuse.
Dr Keyvan is highly experienced in leadership, staff management, and the clinical supervision and development of emerging mental health practitioners. Dr Keyvan is a qualified mediator. A passionate advocate for men’s mental health and suicide prevention, he continues to work with private corporations as well as sporting clubs to address and support mental health and substance misuse issues in the workplace. His areas of clinical interest include trauma, PTSD, complex PTSD, and addiction. Dr Keyvan is a mental health social worker and a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
